Halloween makes the fireworks come out again.

Barack Obama speaking in my town makes the fireworks come out again.

Flood relief events make the fireworks come out again.

4th of July will be over this weekend. It's the law.

I like the sparkly ones like glitter. They make a nice sound like a sizzle.

sad little life of fireworks... to spend the majority in cramped and claustrophobic conditions, dry, dark, waiting and for what? For the day when blind eyes transform into burning light only to fizzle and disappear back into the wind and water and darkness, spent and utterly alone.

I need to get back into sync of checking this board more regularly. I was in town on Sunday, and my day went to shit so I left and headed back up north at 4p.m. Libra = FAIL.

I live a few blocks away from the fireworks show now, so I sat in the front yard and watched explosions over the treeline.

I love the smell of fireworks in the evening. You know, one time we had a stash that lasted us 3 hours. When it was all over I walked around. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinking unexploded cracker. The smell, you know that gunpowder smell, the whole dune smelled like...
freedom. Someday this fourth's gonna end.
